Go Make Some Pizza

Feeling inspired. Know what I realized… seeing people follow their dreams is inspiring. We all have this longing within us to do something or be something amazing. I don’t care if you’re 4, 40, or 97. It’s in there. Longing to get out.

If you’re asking me, I think you should let that longing do something amazing. You don’t know what you could create if you let your mind wander.

The problem with this is, people tell you from that age of 4 that you cant do anything. They tell you you’re not smart enough, that what you want to do is impossible. Most of the time what they tell you isn’t true. We’re just conditioned to listen to the negative instead of the positive.

Think about something for a moment. What would have happened if Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King Jr., the guy who created Google, or any number of phenomenal people had listened to all the naysayers?

EXACTLY. Nothing. Nothing would have happened.

What if we all started listening to the few people that told us that we could do exactly what we were dreaming of? What if we listened to what God and the Bible had to say about our abilities instead of the people around us? I think amazing things could happen.

There are lots of places in the Bible besides Philippians 4:13 that say we can do anything with God. I mean, most of the time, it’s probably him putting the idea in our hearts anyway.

John 16:13 (ESV)

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

2 Peter 1:10 (ESV)

Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.

Romans 11:29 (ESV)

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

That’s just to name a few, but I think it would be cool if you guys all went and looked some up too.

Come to think of it, the story of Jesus is kinda like that, when he was little everybody was like dude, why’re you hangin’ out in the temple to learn? And he knew exactly why, he was pursuing his God given dream and destiny. The best part about dreams is that they don’t have to make sense to everybody or to anybody for that matter. There’s a saying that goes something like “your dreams not big enough if you it doesn’t scare you and if you don’t need Gods help to make it happen.” I’m not sure when we became so cynical, but we need to go to that mindset we had when we were 5 that anything is possible, that dreams are magical, that we are capable. We need to be those people.

One thing I will say is, even if you cant be that person for yourself, be that person for someone else. Love people so much that you have faith in their dreams and you know they can do anything.

John 15:12 (ESV)

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”

Right there, in the Bible it even says we should do that. God loves us so much that he believes in us and that we can do anything he puts in our hearts. The book of Jeremiah is a perfect example of listening to God, following your dreams, not backing down to negativity, and letting God give you strength to do those things!

Jeremiah 1:4-19

The Call of Jeremiah

4 “The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,

before you were born I set you apart;

I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

6 “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

7 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

9 Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

11 The word of the Lord came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?”

“I see the branch of an almond tree,” I replied.

12 The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”

13 The word of the Lord came to me again: “What do you see?”

“I see a pot that is boiling,” I answered. “It is tilting toward us from the north.”

14 The Lord said to me, “From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. 15 I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms,” declares the Lord.

“Their kings will come and set up their thrones

in the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem;

they will come against all her surrounding walls

and against all the towns of Judah.

16 I will pronounce my judgments on my people

because of their wickedness in forsaking me,

in burning incense to other gods

and in worshiping what their hands have made.

17 “Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.”

I know this was kind of a short post, but I was inspireddddd! Think of it like this, what if the guy who invented pizza stopped when his mom asked him why he was throwing dough in the air. Then we wouldn’t have pizza! How sad would that be? GO OUT THERE AND MAKE SOME PIZZA!

Have a phenomenal week, you’re all amazing! Love you to the moon and back!
